District XIV Psychologists' Fund

Its faculty, which is the best at the national level, is made up of researchers and professionals who apply Positive Psychology in their daily work with great professional success. This allows us to offer an in-depth exploration of the science and application of positive psychology, both personally and professionally.

In order to innovate and offer in each edition academic and methodological innovations that seek the best learning experience for our students, we have developed our own mentoring program within the MAPPA master's degree. It seeks to promote the academic, professional and personal skills of students in achieving the goals and objectives established in the master's degree.

With the MAPPA Mentoring program, each mentee (student) will have the support of a mentor (professor) who will guide him/her throughout the academic year in the completion of the Master's Final Project (TFM), the External Internship or the Academically Directed Project (PPEE or TAD) and in the development of an academic goal. The purpose of the mentor is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience in the discipline, providing the mentee with resources that promote autonomous learning and personal autonomy. In addition, mentees' strengths, skills and positive personal characteristics are identified and developed in order to enhance their employability and their personal and professional growth.

In 1731, a chair of Philosophy was opened; and in 1740, three chairs of Theology, so that the Colegio de San Ignacio was also a cornerstone of university studies in our lands. At the same time, the Jesuits dedicated themselves to the ministry of the Spiritual Exercises, so that a fervent Christian community grew around the Church of San Ignacio.

In 1857, the Jesuits were once again installed in Buenos Aires and took charge of the Conciliar Seminary. In December 1864, the land of the present College was acquired, between Callao, Lavalle, Tucumán and Riobamba Streets, and in 1865 the construction of the building began.

Callao was not an avenue, it was not even a street. It was only a wide, impassable road; in the winter, because of its famous swamps; and in the summer, because of the thick layers of dust that covered the tunnels that surrounded it. However, this land was a block whose 114-meter frontage on Callao was at a fairly high point, so it was free from the waters during the rainy season.
